TYPE OF DATA PROCESSING
We only process common data, provided directly by the user concerned in order to use the newsletter or other services made available on the site.
The IT systems and software procedures necessary for this site to function collect certain personal data, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols, as part of their normal operations. This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified users, but by its nature it may allow for users to be identified when used and associated with data held by third parties. This category of data includes IP addresses or dominium names of the computers used by users connecting to this site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numeric code indicating the state of the response from the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and software environment. This data is collected by Fondazione Sistema Toscana servers and may be used exclusively to collect anonymous statistical information on how the site is used, and to check that it is functioning correctly. If a computer crime is committed against our site, we may use the data to find out who is responsible.
No personal data from users is gathered from this site using cookies. Cookies are not used for any personal information, nor do we use any type of persistent cookies, or systems to trace or profile users. The site uses only “technical cookies”.
Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide this service” (see article 122, paragraph 1, of the Code – Data Protection Authority provision 229 of 8/5/2014).
They are not used for other purposes and are installed directly by the owner or operator of the website. They can be divided into:
– navigation or session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, authentication in order to access restricted areas). The use of session cookies (which are not stored for any length of time on the user’s computer, and are eliminated on closing the browser) is strictly limited to transmitting session identification data necessary to allow you to explore the site securely and efficiently. The session cookies used by the site allow us to avoid using other IT techniques that could affect the confidentiality of user navigation, and do not allow us to collect personal data that could identify the user.
– analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site;
– functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language) in order to improve the service provided.
The prior consent of users is not required in order to install these cookies, although we are to provide information pursuant to article 13 of the Code. The data collected by cookies is processed by Fondazione Sistema Toscana.

As such, it is extraneous to the operation of “third-party cookies” that may be installed, whose operation falls within the full and exclusive responsibility of such third parties.
