The Toscana Open Research (TOR) portal was developed by the Regional Observatory for Research and Innovation at IRPET, which was established within the framework of the Regional Conference for Research and Innovation. The portal supports the policies implemented by the Region of Tuscany in the fields of higher education, research and innovation.
More specifically, the aim of TOR is to integrate, explore and use data (ideally open data) relating to the three aforementioned thematic areas, in order to monitor the results of interventions and enable the definition of new, more effective policies.
Toscana Open Research is being developed through a collaboration between the Region of Tuscany (the Directorate for Education, Training, Research and Employment and the Directorate for Information Systems, Technological Infrastructure and Innovation), Siris Academic (the domain expert) and Fondazione Sistema Toscana (the portal developer).
